Our YCC-T chip-controlled ‘fly-by-wire’ throttle delivers the ultimate acceleration, while Yamaha’s unique YCC-I electronically-controlled variable intake funnels make for higher levels of power and stronger torque. The race-developed Deltabox chassis ensures razor-sharp handling on the road and track – and the radical aerodynamic bodywork benefits from a low frontal area for awesome acceleration and top end speed.

Its liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 4-valve, single cylinder, SOHC engine is tuned to deliver free-revving performance right through to maximum power at 9,000rpm – and for instant response and efficient operation this remarkable 6-speed 125 is equipped with a compact fuel injection system. The race-inspired chassis features a Deltabox frame and aluminium swinging arm for outstanding handling performance, and lightweight 5-spoke wheels help to minimize unsprung weight to give impressive roadholding. A large diameter 292mm front disc with a 230mm diameter rear disc make for effective stopping power.

The racetrack is a major influence on the design of Yamaha’s R-series, and the YZF-R125 is no different. The new YZF-R125 Team Yamaha Race Replica features striking blue and white paint and graphics to match Valentino Rossi’s MotoGP bike and the same aggressive R-series styling as the R1 and R6.
